2. Should Vivomixx® be refrigerated?
The 450 billion bacteria sachets must be refrigerated. You can keep them out of the fridge for up to one week without affecting the quality of the product. The 112 billion bacteria capsules and the 10 billion micro capsules do not have to be refrigerated, and may be kept at room temperature. Do avoid high temperatures (>25°C).
3. Where can I buy Vivomixx®?
Vivomixx may be found at leading and selected independent pharmacies. If your local pharmacy does not have it in stock, you may request for it to be ordered in for you.
4. Why so many bacteria?
Vivomixx® contains 450 billion bacteria per sachet,112 billion bacteria per capsule and 10 billion per micro capsule. These quantities are necessary to properly colonize your gut which contains up to 10-1000 billion bacteria/ml of feces material. In the colon there can be around 1500 ml of feces material.

7. When is the best time to take Vivomixx®?
We recommend to take Vivomixx® in the morning on an empty stomach.
8. How long can I take Vivomixx®?
You can take it for as long as necessary as it has no contraindications.
9. How long do I have to take Vivomixx® to feel better?
You will feel better already after 3-4 days but the optimal colonization is achieved in 2-3 weeks.
10. What quantity should I take?
The recommended daily intake is 1 to 2 sachets or 1 to 4 capsules or 1 to 2 micro capsules.
11. Can I take Vivomixx® during pregnancy?
There are no contraindications but please do consult your physician when taking this or any other food supplement during pregnancy.
12. What if I take antibiotics?
Vivomixx® can be taken even if you have other concurrent treatments but it is best to take it far apart from antibiotics (at least 2 hours before or after your antibiotic).
13. Does Vivomixx® contain allergens?
No, it does not contain gluten, lactose or soy.
14. Are there any side effects?
Bloating has been reported but this is a transient phenomenon due to the adaptation of your flora to the new bacteria.
15. How do I take Vivomixx®?
Vivomixx® is easy to take. Open the sachet and mix it into any cold, non-carbonated drink. Or mix it with food, like yogurt or apple sauce and take immediately. Capsules are swallowed with liquid that is not hot or carbonated. If you cannot swallow capsules, you may open up the capsule and consume the contents that same way as you would a sachet.
